The series delivers beautiful base and insert cards in a modern, highly appealing design. Combined with Precious Metal Gems (PMG) cards, this makes for a very attractive product. The Base Set is divided into current stars (1–100) and rookies (101–151). On average, you'll find one Rookie card in every pack. Autograph variants are also included, featuring some of the most desirable names – Schaefer, McDavid, MacKinnon, Makar, Crosby... Also collect 2013 Metal Universe Retros, a 20-card illustrated set. Every card in this collection features original artwork of top stars and rookies. Look for PMG parallels here as well, including Red, Blue, Green and Gold (1-of-1) versions. The checklist includes Pastrňák, Jarvis, Draisaitl, Makar, Hutson, Celebrini... 2025-26 Metal Universe Hockey returns with premium insert cards and case hits that add excitement to every collection. Dark Matter and, after a break, Platinum Portraits are back with new designs! Dark Matter in particular stands out as one of the most striking cards in the entire series, averaging one per case. The checklist also includes top rookies – Schaefer, Misa, Sennecke, Buium, Demidov. Hot Boxes: Keep an eye out for special boxes in this release! These boxes contain one Blue PMG card numbered to /50 in every pack, for an impressive fifteen Blue PMG cards per box. These boxes add a major extra chase to the series.
