We are in the final stage of production and the eagerly awaited series featuring autographs and Printing Plates of the very best players will be here within days. Summer will not be boring – chase down a spectacular card! The boxes go on sale from 17 July through selected retail partners and here in our e-shop.

We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member who loves trading cards and memorabilia. You will help create new series, manage social media and websites, take part in events and lead your own projects. If you can also write articles, that is a major advantage. The type of employment agreement is open to discussion and we are flexible about the options. Our company is based in Hradec Králové, but partial remote work is possible. A traditional special release for the biggest collectors’ show – the official EXPO packs. Their contents are a great way to add rare pieces to your collection, with cards available mainly on the day of the event. This year’s packs do not contain autographs, but we have prepared a commemorative special for the 25th anniversary of the “Golden Boys”: portraits from the player selection for the 1998 Nagano Olympics. These rare cards are printed on special stock and limited to just five copies.

On Saturday, 24 June, Enteria Arena in Pardubice will host CZECH EXPO 2023. The major sports card and memorabilia show will welcome national-team players, women’s national-team players and legends. From 11:00, Adam Musil will sign alongside his father František Musil, followed by a host of bronze-medal winners from the Czech women’s national team, led by Daniela Pejšová, Alena Mills, Klára Peslarová, Kateřina Mrázová and others. From 14:00, the signing line-up will include Peter Čerešňák and Vladimír Martinec, Patrik Bartošák and U20 silver-medal-winning junior Matyáš Šapovaliv. See the flyer here.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand at the Czech Hockey Games in Brno! It is great to see trading cards entertaining young girls and boys alike, and to watch another generation of fans and collectors grow. Our stand was visited by Czech national-team players Tomáš Hyka and Martin Kaut, while the women’s team was represented, for example, by Aneta Tejralová, scorer of the winning goal against Finland in the bronze-medal game at the 2022 World Championship. The icing on the cake was Finnish hockey legend Sami Kapanen! We had a fantastic time with you and look forward to more events – including the EXPO in Pardubice on 24 June.

Our first product of this year’s national-team season is the STARTER box. This edition features national-team players from the first three Euro Hockey Tour tournaments: the Karjala Cup in Finland, Swiss Ice Hockey Games in Switzerland and Beijer Hockey Games in Sweden. The edition also celebrates the Czech men’s and women’s national teams’ bronze-medal successes in 2022 and the U20 junior team’s silver medal at the 2023 World Championship in Canada. 

From 15 April 2023, we are launching ticket pre-sales for EXPO Pardubice 2023. The discounted price of CZK 250 applies until 10 June 2023. After that, and at the venue, tickets will cost CZK 300. Tickets will also be entered into a prize draw at 14:30, with valuable prizes to be won. EXPO will once again include an autograph session with sporting stars. Their names and signing times will be announced before the event. The autograph session has its own rules – see the event website. Children under 12 and holders of disability cards have FREE admission.

We have produced a limited trading card series for DEWALT, available exclusively through the DEK builders’ merchant network!

For every CZK 3,000 spent, you will receive one pack of trading cards featuring Czech national-team hockey players at the checkout. The promotion is running through the DEK a.s. retail network from the end of March and is valid until 30 June 2023. Talented Czech forward Eduard Šalé is being ranked in the top ten for the June 2023 NHL Entry Draft by respected North American outlets. It is easy to see why. Eda already impressed at last year’s U18 World Championship, where many were fascinated by his chemistry with Jiří Kulich. He played the role of Kulich’s primary set-up man. Renowned analyst Craig Button even ranks him fourth overall!

Packed with trading cards, guests and stories. A week ago, Pardubice’s Enteria Arena hosted the fourth gathering of sports card and memorabilia collectors – EXPO 2022 Pardubice. In addition to hundreds of thousands of cards and memorabilia, the event also featured a busy autograph session headlined by legends Robert Reichel and Roman Čechmánek.

The first confirmed guests are Robert Reichel, Kristián Reichel, Filip Zadina, Milan Nový and our Olympic goaltender Viktorie Švejdová. You can also look forward to goaltending legends from the 1970s, who will appear with their retro masks! Follow us for more guest information, the schedule and autograph-session rules. The first group will sign from 11:00 and the second from 14:00. We expect each signing session to last approximately two hours. Times are subject to change.

We are responding to questions about the stickers on The Gamers 2022 holders – specifically cases where the sticker (hologram) is missing or damaged.

A hockey card publisher faces all kinds of challenges. Some are genuinely entertaining; others are rather more complicated. One of them is protecting boxes against tampering. So how did we handle it this time? You know the saying: people make plans and machines change them. While packing the new Gamers 2022 1st Edition series, we were reminded once again how wide the gap between theory and practice can be. We had a full 100 kilograms of wrapping film printed with our logo to give the boxes another security feature. How did it turn out? The first Gamers boxes of the year do have a new security feature – just a slightly different one from what we planned. What does it look like? Ask our copywriter; his wrist is still hurting.

We wanted to push the Czech market forward once again and become pioneers – the first manufacturer to offer collectors a series where every box contains a 1 of 1. In other words, a card produced as a single unique copy. A truly one-of-a-kind collectible with exceptional value by definition. The series is called The Gamers 2022 1st Edition!

Last year’s The Gamers disappeared almost instantly. The “first” and “second” editions sold out within a few weeks! For us, that was a clear signal: collectors love this type of series and apparently open the boxes thinking, “More of this, please!” So here they are – The Gamers 2022 1st Edition are already on the horizon!

Where should you put them? Perhaps you asked yourself the same classic question when our Stick With Czech Hockey 2020 stickers reached you. We finally have a first-class solution: during February’s major sporting event in China, we will release a convenient A5 album with 28 pages featuring themed photographs and statistical overviews.

As you know, in March 2021 we released the Stick With Czech Hockey sticker series, documenting the extraordinary year 2020 in Czech hockey. It may not seem like it at first, but it was a year full of memorable moments. The series contains 45 stickers with individual player stories and texts by Tomáš Zatloukal. Blasters (packs) containing 20 stickers are still available on our e-shopu e-shop and always include two limited stickers numbered /25 and /10, or even 1/1 “Gold” versions. Those naturally belong in albums or toploaders rather than being stuck into the album.

The date for EXPO 2022 has been announced, this time in the summer: 25 June 2022. The event will take place in Pardubice’s Enteria Arena for the third time and will be the fourth edition overall. Save the date – collectors from across the country will once again meet in Pardubice for a major trading card & and memorabilia show!

The first time you see the transparent plastic inserts aptly named Goalies in person, one detail is guaranteed to catch your eye: the wrinkled or otherwise marked protective film covering the front of the cards. Every wave, bubble and scratch is proof that the protective layer did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Bigger than last year – and featuring Golonka and Nový! A collectors’ celebration that impressed even hockey legends. That is the best description of this year’s EXPO, and we could not be happier. After his autograph session, legendary scorer Milan Nový looked around and remarked: “Gentlemen, this really is a high-quality event.”

Dear collectors, the new Czech national team trading card series 2021/22 MK National Team will be released on 30 October 2021. The most impatient collectors ???? will be able to buy Retail and Hobby boxes from our retail partners at EXPO in Pardubice. (hooker-karty.cz, kartickarna.cz, hokej-karty.cz, JR26.cz, DJ-karty.cz, …). A Retail box contains 24 packs and costs CZK 2,178 including VAT, which works out to CZK 91 per six-card pack. With odds of 1:1560, you can even pull an autographed Jaromír Jágr or David Pastrňák card. The Hobby box, packed with special cards, costs CZK 2,500! To mark the EXPO 2021 collectors’ show in Pardubice, we have prepared EXPO Packs – Special Edition. A popular concept for many collectors, this year featuring cards from the new series in three colours (BLUE, RED, GOLD), numbered /5 and carrying the EXPO logo. Every pack contains two of these parallel cards plus a hard-signed autograph card! Look out for players such as Martinec, Francouz, Šťastný, Hronek and others. That makes three cards in total. The autograph cards were originally prepared for guests of last year’s EXPO who unfortunately could not attend because of Covid. We managed to have them signed during the year and are now bringing them to you in these special packs, produced only in a limited quantity.

You have been asking us what restrictions will apply at the EXPO Pardubice 2021 card show. As the organisers of this cultural/sporting event, we are required to comply with the current government regulations.

Accordingly, visitors will be required to present valid proof under the O-N-T system (vaccination – recovery from COVID-19 – test).

What do we always applaud when watching hockey? Acts of fair play. And our communication with you – collectors, fans and customers – is always fair too. That matters to us. We therefore want to be completely transparent: we will not manage to release the new Czech national hockey team series on the announced date of 15 October. We owe you a sincere apology, a request for patience and, of course, an explanation. Why the delay? The reason is simple: even a master printer can make a mistake.

The second edition of The Gamers boxes will be released on Monday, 2 August 2021. From that date, boxes will be physically available from the following retailers.

The Gamers 2 boxes will be released at the beginning of summer, and alongside many other great names, Jaromír Jágr cards will undoubtedly be the highlight. Look out for 35 The Gamers Originals cards (Gold /5, Blue /10, Red /20). Patrik Eliáš, Jan Myšák, Milan Nový and many others will also be included. The total production run will be approximately half that of Gamers 1.

The eagerly awaited The Gamers series, featuring limited autographed cards in magnetic holders, will be released during the first week of the World Championship.

Introducing the new MojeKartičky logo! It is cleaner, more modern and we believe it will look better on our cards. The symbol represents a pack of cards together with the initials of our name. For clarity, we are also shortening the brand name to MK Cards. Going forward, you will also see the logo used simply as the MK symbol.

EXPO was not only a meaningful gathering of collectors during a difficult period – it also achieved something good. Thanks to you and the autograph session, we were able to give Sofinka CZK 10,000! Thank you. Sofinka suffers from type 1 spinal muscular atrophy (SMA1). Her wonderful parents arranged gene therapy in Boston, and we hope her condition will continue to improve as much as possible. An exceptional event in terms of preparation, organisation and nerves – but also an amazing venue, enriched collections, unforgettable experiences and a fantastic group of people. Almost 300 participants! That was CZECH EXPO Pardubice 2020, the collectors’ show held at Enteria Arena.

Because of government measures related to COVID-19, we were forced to move EXPO 2020 twice this year. The new date is Saturday, 3 October, and we expect it to be final. Concerns and risks surrounding the virus are no longer the same as at the beginning of the “pandemic”, and it appears the government has the situation under control. Nevertheless, as of 27 August 2020, regulations effective from 27 July 2020 limit indoor mass events to 500 people at one place at any one time. For our event, that capacity appears sufficient and does not prevent it from taking place.

A new feature this year is our cooperation with Ticketportal.cz. Tickets for the Czech EXPO 2020 collectors’ show in Pardubice can now be purchased in advance online or at Ticketportal retail outlets.

The Sport Hradec Cup is a charity tournament supporting children with disabilities – and today it is also a fully established foundation. When the group of friends behind it came up with the idea several years ago, they could hardly have imagined how large the event would become or how much money it would raise. Just imagine: this year they collected CZK 1,537,600! The money was distributed among 11 families. Across 12 editions, an incredible CZK 6,016,247 has been raised – more than at any comparable event in the Czech Republic.

Despite the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we have decided to move EXPO 2020 to 3 October 2020. Current government conditions would technically allow us to hold the event with sufficient capacity (currently 500 people), but after our own assessment and a poll on social media, we decided postponing was the better option. As usual, for the 2019/20 season we are releasing two types of Czech national team card products: Retail boxes and Hobby boxes. Retail boxes contain 24 packs with six random cards in each. This product is designed for a broad range of fans – hockey supporters, boys and girls, and anyone who enjoys the classic experience of opening fresh packs of trading cards. Even so, each box contains as many as 17 insert or parallel cards – roughly one in every second pack!

We have a new date for CZECH EXPO!
Because of the state of emergency, we are moving the major gathering of fans and collectors to the end of June, when we hope the event will be able to take place.

Preparation of the new Czech national team card series is in full swing. This year’s edition will introduce several notable new features. The series will include many newcomers in the national team jersey, while the Game Dated Moments subset returns with memorable moments from Czech hockey history. We have obtained outstanding hockey artefacts from some of the very best Czech players, including Pastrňák, Hronek, Voráček, Gulaš, Jaškin, Frolík and others. We would like to thank the players, our partners and everyone who helps us source these items – we truly appreciate it. Are you ready for the 2019/20 Game Used Memorabilia cards? We put a great deal of work into sourcing outstanding artefacts to incorporate into the cards. The Game Used Memorabilia insert series is made by hand. Every card is unique, with an embedded piece of a stick, glove or jersey. We use only 100% game-used artefacts. This year’s series will feature some of the biggest stars in current Czech hockey and their equipment. David Pastrňák (NHL) and Dmitrij Jaškin (KHL) are currently battling for the goal-scoring leads in their respective leagues. Filip Hronek, a talented defenceman and the best defenceman at the 2019 World Championship, is receiving major ice time this season and setting club records. Milan Gulaš leads the Czech league in scoring. We have also revealed sticks from Jakub Voráček (Flyers, NHL), Michael Frolík (Buffalo, NHL) and Filip Chytil (Rangers, NHL). We will keep the rest secret for now – you will see them soon in the published checklists. The series will launch before the World Championship in Switzerland.

In the end, we chose Pardubice – specifically its legendary hockey arena, where so much hockey history was made. It will be a fantastic, classic hockey setting, and we hope you will be there. ⁉️The home arena associated with Dominik Hašek, Milan Hejduk, Vladimír Martinec, Bohuslav Šťastný, Jiří Novák, Jiří Šejba and many other great hockey players.

You probably know Jakub Voráček’s charity project “Hockey Sticks for Puk”. A very similar event has been organised in Hradec Králové since 2008 as part of the Sport Hradec Cup charity tournament. There is no shortage of big names from elite sport. This year’s hockey guests included Filip Hronek, Peter Frühauf, Jaroslav Pavelka and other Czech Extraliga players, as well as national para-hockey player Pavel Kubeš. Patrons include Pavel Krmaš and Tomáš Koubek, and this year even Karlos “Terminator” Vémola came to support the event. The charity auction offers fantastic memorabilia – and every successful bid helps those who need it most.

And it is over… We believe everyone who attended our fan and collectors’ EXPO had a great time. Judging by the many positive reactions, that was indeed the case – and that was our main goal. I especially appreciated the praise from Mr Čepelák Sr., who came over personally to shake my hand and congratulate us on the organisation.
